Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre is proud to host the Victorian Country Championships from 20 to 22 January 2024.
Our fantastic regional Victorian swimmers are coming together from all over our state to go head-to-head in the Victorian Country Long Course Championships. This event is organised by Gippsland Swimming and will be hosted by us!
Dates and times
- Saturday 20 January, 7:00am – 7:30pm
- Sunday 21 January, 7:00am – 7:30pm
- Monday 22 January, 7:00am – 5:00pm

- Indoor and outdoor aquatic areas
Reduced services
Access to some areas and programs may be restricted while we prepare for this event and while the event takes place. Please see below for more information about our reduced services during this time.
Gym, group fitness and aqua classes
- The gym and group fitness will operate as normal during the event.
- Aqua classes will not operate on Monday 22 January.

Swimming lessons
- Swim lessons will not run on Saturday 21 and Monday 22 January.
- Students will be offered an additional make-up class and our customer service team will be in touch to arrange a suitable day and time.
Pools
- The warm water pool will remain accessible for all members and visitors during the event. All other pool areas will be closed to the public.
- There will be limited lap swimming available on Friday 19 January from 5:00pm onwards.
- Members have reciprocal access to all Latrobe Leisure Centres which you are welcome to use in the meantime.
Car park
- The entry at Kay Street will be closed from Friday 19 January.
- Please enter and exit from Breed Street instead and allow extra time for parking as we expect that the cark park will be busy.
Want to attend the event?
If you would like to attend the Victorian Country Championships, tickets will go on sale on Friday 19 January from 3:00pm. On the day, food and drinks will be available from our café. There are also plenty of local places to grab a bite, located on Kay St Driveway.
